Hi, I am Kristi. The owner and creator of Wahm Pro, Wahm Website Services. I have been with WahmShoppes since March of 2003 and have been an active member of the WAHM support community just as long.


I started out like most other moms, wanting to find a way to stay home with my kids and contribute financially to the house. I was looking for something that would not require me too much time away from them as I had already been down the road.


In June of 2001 after the birth of my third child I became a stay at home mom and started my journey. I looked high and low for many months and finally figured out what I wanted to do. I started selling personalized childrens furniture on ebay and out of that grew PerfectMatchBoutique.com. That is where I found wahmshoppes and put my store online.


With lots of support from the other moms at the wahm support community I got it put together and anticipated the sales. Well that didn't happen, and I sat month, after month waiting. I paid for advertising, I tried many marketing techniques both online and offline, and I networked with any wahm group I could find. I was well known in the wahm community and was learning lots of great things, but my site still sat there month after month with almost no orders.


Then one day while reading emails someone mentioned search engine optimization. Never heard of it before, so I did a search for that term. I was amazed, a whole world opened up and I spent day and night reading everything I could on the subject. If you have ever done this you know it is not an easy task to tackle. I started implementing alot of the techniques and tips, I was seeing small results, but was running into problems on how to do some of the things that were being suggested to me in the Wahm Shoppe format.


With much determination I figured out that I could implement the techniques into my wahmshoppe. Within two months I was seeing results, I was getting orders daily!

Perfect Match Boutique now ranks #1 and #2 on MSN and #3 on yahoo for my main keywords. On google I am creeping up from #8. Search Engine Optimization works, but it takes time, determination, and lots of knowledge.


I still am busy with perfectmatchboutique.com and it is always my daily project but I decided I wanted to pass on my knowledge and help out other moms just like me. With some encouragement from Ink at InkPrince.com I decided to open a second shop. WahmPro was born!


I look forward to working with all the great moms on their wahmshoppes and build a grand community. One that will give the big guys a run for their money. :)
